Special Education

Requires special education and monitored individually using systematic teaching procedures, adapted materials and techniques and other interventions designed to provide additional support and services to assist students with special needs achieve certain educational goals.

The nature of this area will require specially trained educators to help students learn and the ability to identify their special needs both physical, social or educational.

To become a special education teacher, students must complete the undergraduate program in special education teacher education along with a certificate.
